Lifestep is a lesion oriented, life cycle approach to preventing lameness – focused on 3 main lesions: digital dermatitis, sole ulcers, and white line disease.
Lameness can systematically undermine the management of the herd and globally, 25% of dairy cows are lame at any one time! No other disease has such fundamental and extensive effects on production, reproduction and risk for early removal. This Lifestep Module aims to provide the dairy producer and their advisory team the tools necessary to target the main causes of lameness and find solutions applicable to that individual farm.
