Saputo’s Premier Sponsorship of The Dairyland Initiative
Since 2015, Saputo, a global leader in dairy processing, has dedicated resources to making training opportunities and information about animal welfare available to dairy farmers and other important industry stakeholders. Advancing animal care standards and best practices is at the heart of Saputo’s mission – to provide the global community with high-quality dairy products made from high-quality milk from healthy and well-cared for animals. Through its Animal Welfare Policy, Saputo is setting a precedent when it comes to optimizing animal health and well-being.
As a Mission Sponsor of The Dairyland Initiative for the past five years, Saputo’s partnership with our program has allowed us to:
- Create a new and user-friendly online platform
- Make the website accessible to all users by eliminating the login requirement
- Translate the website into Spanish and French to reach a larger audience
- Launch the Lifestep Lameness Module
- Host 23 workshops, spanning nine topics
In July 2025, Saputo reaffirmed its commitment to advancing dairy cattle welfare worldwide as the Premier Sponsor of The Dairyland Initiative. Thanks to Saputo’s generous support, The Dairyland Initiative will continue to offer workshops and provide relevant online resources to all members of the dairy team, as well as create new materials that advocate for improved animal health and well-being.
