DESCRIPTION

• Four 160’ x 20’ (36.6 m x 6.1 m) Individual Calf Pen Barns
• Space for 45 calves in each barn
• Supplemental positive pressure ventilation tubes run constantly in occupied barns
• Utilize an “all-in, all-out” system. Barns are filled and emptied one at a time as calves are born and weaned. One barn is completely unoccupied at all times to allow for time for bedding removal, cleaning pen panels, washing the barn wall and everything allowed to dry.
• Individual calf pen dimensions: 7’x 3’6” (2.1 m x 1.1 m)
• Calves bedded on straw in winter; calf jackets are used
• Sand bedding is used for warm summer months
