DESCRIPTION

New post-weaning and grower calf barn for a 300-cow dairy, adjacent to a group nursery housing system with a computer-controlled calf feeder. Natural ventilation of this barn was supplemented from the start with a positive pressure ventilation system to deliver a minimum winter ventilation rate of 4 air changes per hour. The nursery pens are partitioned off from the group grower portion of the barn by clear panels for disease control while allowing more natural light in the barn.
