DESCRIPTION

• New, naturally ventilated freestall barn to house breeding age and bred heifers for a 100-cow dairy.
• 3-row, south-facing pen with sand-bedded freestalls 44 inches wide (120 cm), on center for heifers 800-1200 lbs (360-545 kg).
• Feed bunk extensions outside of barn provide access for all heifers to feed simultaneously. Eventual headlocks along the entire length of the bunk will allow for lock-up of all heifers for ease of management and vet checks.
